The Student Union is dedicated to the betterment of University life and enhancing the student experiences at UPEI. Inherent in this vision is the unquestionable responsibility of the UPEISU's elected officials, employees, and volunteers to build upon the traditions of the University in all times and places and to serve the interests of the students of UPEI on all occasions. To protect this philosophy, the
UPEISU Constitution exists.
The UPEI Student Union Council is the supreme governing body of our organization. This means the council has the final say in everything pertaining to the Student Union. Council has the power to add, remove, or modify any service or affiliation of the SU as we decide most beneficial for the student body. The council generally meets twice per month to discuss the issues of the union. The UPEI Student Union Council is composed of 27 Voting Members and also has 5 non-voting members. The Student Council is elected at the
Student Union General Elections held in March of each year. Unfilled positions are filled during the Fall General Election in late September.
