This is my first year on council (regrettably) as Chair and let me tell you how enjoyable it has been! Though my experience on council has been brief, I have truly enjoyed my responsibilities as Chair of Council thus far. My only wish is that I would have got involved in council earlier in my UPEI career.  Having been a born and raised Islander, UPEI is an institution which is certainly close to my heart. Following my graduation from Charlottetown Rural Highschool is 2008, I quickly gained acceptance to the Bachelor of Arts program at UPEI. While battling what program to major in for my first two years at UPEI (which included brief stints in the Business program and English program) I finally found my calling in the second semester of my second year -- Political Science. After I graduate this year I intend on pursuing a Master's degree in either international relations, strategic studies, or public service. Some of my interests and hobbies include: politics (of course), golf, movies, trivia, war history, and a nice pint of favorite beer if the time is right. One last thing, get involved at UPEI in some way, shape, or form -- I promise you will not regret it.
